Only a children's book?
Lucy and the gambutzins treasure is the first story from a collection. It's a story about friendship, adventure and fantasy. It's enterely created in the Ebro Lands, an unknown area in the south of Tarragona, in Spain. It's the result of the personal project of the art historian Maira Lampugnani, born in Argentina and grown in this beatiful lands near the Ebro river. When she came back after studying in Tarragona, Barcelona and Italy, she redescovered the rich heritage of the Terres de l'Ebre. In many cases, it was a missed heritage. So this is her project. She wants to show the little ones to care and know about the Ebro's heritage. They are the only ones who can really change its actual situation. I quina millor forma que generar uns personatges que transmetessin el valor de cuidar el nostre patrimoni? Així naix la Llúcia, que vindrà acompanyada amb la figura del gambutzí, tan coneguda i familiar als ebrencs. This first book was illustrated by the young local Hernan en H. The story places in Fullola, a real abandoned town, between Tortosa i el Perelló. Today is in a real bad conservation condition, but its medieval tower and the gothic church make it a really magical place to know. That's why this is not a children's book. This is more than that. |
